Preparation | Using p-methylaniline and p-iodide biphenyl as starting materials, the organic electroluminescent material N,N'-dim-tolylbenzidine was synthesized through a two-step reaction. Through the optimization experiment, the best synthesis process was obtained as follows: p-methylaniline was reacted at 20 ℃ with (glacial acetic acid):(water) = 1:4 as solvent, potassium dichromate was added for reaction, after separation and purification, l8-crown_6 phase transfer catalyst was added, o-dichlorobenzene was used as solvent to carry out Ullman reaction with p-iodide biphenyl under nitrogen protection, and the product was reacted under reflux for 20h. The product was purified by column chromatography and recrystallization.
