terbium oxide is brown powder, insoluble in water, soluble in mineral acids, melting point 2200 °c.
ignition method: the terbium nitrate or terbium carbonate or Terbium sulfate solution with sodium hydroxide reaction of terbium hydroxide precipitation, after filtration, ignition, prepared terbium oxide.
It is mainly used as a phosphor material activator, especially an X-ray phosphor screen. It is also the admixture of garnet and the raw material of metal terbium.
polyethylene plastic bottle packaging, outer polyethylene plastic bag seal, each bottle of 0. 5kg or 1kg net weight, and then placed in a calcium plastic box (or wooden box, iron drum). Should be stored in a ventilated, dry warehouse. Attention should be paid to moisture and packaging damage during storage and transportation. See cerium oxide products for toxicity and protection.
