Physical and Chemical Properties	Bioactive Gatifloxacin hydrochloride (AM-1155 hydrochloride) is an effective fluoroquinolone antibiotic (antibiotic) with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. Gatifloxacin hydrochloride (AM-1155 hydrochloride) inhibited bacterial type II topoisomerase (type II topoisomerases) (IC50=13.8 μg/ml; Staphylococcus aureus topoisomerase IV) and Escherichia coli DNA helicase (IC50=0.109 μg/ml). Gatifloxacin hydrochloride (AM-1155 hydrochloride) can be used for the study of bacterial conjunctivitis in animal models.
