In vitro study | KF 13218 inhibits human and bovine platelet thromboxane synthase with IC 50 values of 27±5.8 nM (mean±S.E.M.) and 36±6.9 nM, respectively. KF 13218 does not inhibit cyclooxygenase or 5-lipoxygenase up to a dose of 100 μM and does not antagonize thromboxane A2/prostaglandin H2 receptors. KF 13218 inhibits arachidonic acid-induced thromboxane B2 production by human intact platelets with an IC 50 value of 5.3±1.3 nM. The IC 50 value of KF 13218 for the intact platelets is about 5 times lower than that for the microsomal enzyme. The inhibition of thromboxane synthase in platelets by KF 13218 is sustained after removal of the extracellular compound. |
In vivo study | After oral dosing in rat from 0.03 mg/kg to 3 mg/kg, KF 13218 dose-dependently inhibits the thromboxane B2 production in serum, and the inhibition is retained for 72 h. KF 13218, at a dose of 0.1 mg/kg p.o. prevents mortality induced by sodium arachidonate in rabbit. |
127654-03-9 - Introduction
KF 13218 refers to a specification of potassium fluoride. The following is a description of the nature, use, preparation and safety information of KF 13218:
Nature:
KF 13218 is a colorless solid with the chemical formula KF. It has high solubility and can be quickly dissolved in water. KF 13218 is very hygroscopic and easily absorbs moisture and humidity from the air. At high temperatures, KF 13218 may be resolved to release fluorine gas.
Use:
KF 13218 are primarily used for a variety of applications in laboratory research and industrial production. The main uses are as follows:
1. As a catalyst: KF 13218 can be used as a catalyst in organic synthesis reactions, such as ester synthesis, hydrogenation reactions, etc.
2. As a dehydrating agent: Due to the hygroscopicity of KF 13218, it can be used as a dehydrating agent in the laboratory to remove moisture in the reaction.
3. Used in liquid electrolyte: KF 13218 can be used to prepare liquid electrolyte for battery and electrochemical research.
Method:
KF 13218 are generally prepared by the following two methods:
1. Direct fluorination method: hydrofluoric acid and potassium hydroxide are mixed and reacted in a stoichiometric ratio to generate potassium fluoride.
2. Concentration Method: An aqueous solution of hydrofluoric acid was evaporated and concentrated to obtain a solid of KF 13218.
Safety Information:
The following safety precautions are required when using KF 13218:
1. KF 13218 is corrosive. Avoid direct contact with skin, eyes or respiratory tract. Wear appropriate protective equipment such as gloves, goggles and masks when using.
2. It is recommended to operate the KF 13218 in a well-ventilated area to avoid the release of fluorine gas.
3. store KF 13218 need to be sealed tightly, placed in a dry and away from moisture.
4. If KF 13218 is accidentally inhaled or ingested, consult your doctor immediately and inform your doctor of the name of the substance used.
