Abstract:
objective: to synthesize Hydroxyethyl-β-cyclodextrin and study its hemolysis and solubilization of quercetin. Methods: The synthesized Hydroxyethyl-β-cyclodextrin was identified by infrared spectroscopy and thin-layer chromatography. The hemolysis of Hydroxyethyl-β-cyclodextrin in vitro was determined with red blood cells isolated from human whole blood; the solubilization of quercetin was determined by UV spectrophotometry. Results: the hemolytic effect of Hydroxyethyl-β-cyclodextrin was not only significantly lower than that of β-cyclodextrin, but also significantly lower than that of hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin. Conclusion: Hydroxyethyl-β-cyclodextrin is a promising new excipient for intravenous administration.

Abstract:
The β-cyclodextrin composed of 7 D-glucopyranose units has a total of 21 hydroxyl groups, including 7 primary hydroxyl groups, 7 secondary hydroxyl groups of oblique "cone" shaped cavity, seven secondary hydroxyl groups facing away from the "cone-and-cylinder" cavity. Hydroxyethyl β-cyclodextrin and other derivatives have important application value in the fields of medicine, cosmetics, food and perfume. The type and number of derivative groups (degree of substitution n) have an important influence on the application performance of cyclodextrin derivatives, such as improving the water solubility of drugs and improving the bioavailability of drugs [7,8], accurate measurement of the degree of substitution of Hydroxyethyl β-cyclodextrin n can further find its average molecular weight. At present, the average substitution degree n of Hydroxyethyl β-cyclodextrin is usually determined by molecular mass spectrometry and other methods [8]. The method not only requires expensive mass spectrometer, but also requires the tester to have a high level of mass spectrometry analysis technology, which has a lot of inconvenience.

Abstract:
The solubilization and Biotoxicity of three hydrophobic organic pesticides (methyl parathion, carbofuran and pentachlorophenol) by Hydroxyethyl β-cyclodextrin (HECD) were studied. The results showed that the solubility of the three pesticides in water was significantly increased by the presence of HECD, and the solubilization was mainly caused by the inclusion of pesticides and HECD. The biological toxicity of methyl parathion was not affected by the presence of HECD.Key words:
