Preparation of zinc isooctanoate by precipitation method | The precipitation method uses sodium hydroxide, isooctanoate and zinc sulfate as raw materials to prepare zinc isooctanoate through saponification reaction and metathesis reaction. The first step of the precipitation method is to make sodium soap first, that is, sodium hydroxide reacts with isooctanoic acid to form sodium soap (sodium isooctanoate).
