Nature:
1. appearance: colorless liquid.
2. Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents, such as ethanol, dimethylformamide, etc.
3. melting point:-18 ℃.
4. Boiling point: 194-196 ℃.
5. density: 1.04g/cm³.
Use:
1. dicyclopentyl dichlorosilane is commonly used as a reagent in organic synthesis and can be used as a silicon source in the synthesis of organosilicon compounds.
2. It can also be used as a catalyst and crosslinking agent.
Preparation Method:
The main preparation method of dicyclopentyl dichlorosilane is obtained by the reaction of dicyclopentyl chlorosilane with cuprous chloride. First, under the protection of nitrogen, dicyclopentylchlorosilane and cuprous chloride were added to anhydrous dimethylformamide, then reacted at room temperature for a period of time, and finally purified by distillation to obtain dicyclopentyldichlorosilane.
Safety Information:
1. Dicyclopentyl dichlorosilane is irritating and may cause irritation to the eyes, skin and respiratory system. Therefore, protective gloves, glasses and masks should be worn when using.
2. Avoid contact with strong oxidants to avoid dangerous reactions.
3. Avoid direct sunlight and high temperature environment during storage and transportation.
4. In case of aspiration or accidental contact, seek medical attention immediately and clean the container as soon as possible.
