[4-(Bromomethyl) benzoyl] triphenylphosphonium bromide is an organic compound with the chemical formula C26H22Br3P. It is a colorless to light yellow solid with a peculiar pungent odor.

It is mainly used as a coordination reagent and phosphorus source, and can be used for phosphating reaction, cyclization reaction and cross stacking reaction in organic synthesis. It is often used in organic synthesis to synthesize compounds such as drugs, pesticides and dyes.

[4-(Bromomethyl)benzyl]triphenylphosphonium bromide can be prepared by the reaction of phenyltriphenylphosphonium bromide and formaldehyde. First, phenyltriphenylphosphonium bromide is dissolved in anhydrous dichloromethane, formaldehyde is added and the reaction is stirred.
