cis-cyclobutane-1,2-dicarboxylic acid (also known as butyryl diacid) is an organic compound with the molecular formula C6H8O4, which structurally contains a cyclobutane ring and two carboxylic acid functional groups.

cis-cyclobutane-1,2-dicarboxylic acid is a white crystalline solid, soluble in water and alcohol solvents. It is acidic and can react with bases to form the corresponding salts.

cis-cyclobutane-1,2-dicarboxylic acid has many applications in the chemical industry. First of all, it is one of the important raw materials for the production of polyester resins, which can be used to prepare polyester resins produced by reaction with alcohols.
