Physical and Chemical Properties | Bright blue to black powder. Poor water solubility, the aqueous solution is blue. It is a black solution in concentrated sulfuric acid, insoluble in hydrochloric acid, caustic soda, and organic solvents. When dyeing, the color light of copper ions changes slightly, and the color light of iron ions is yellow and dark. |

production method | 9-ethyl-9h-carmazol-3-amine and 2,3,5, the 6-tetrachlorocyclocyclohexane -2, 5-dien-1, 4-dione is condensed in pyridine, and is combined in two and three with 99.5 sulfuric acid sulfonation at the same time (obtaining sky blue FTFGL); alternatively, trisulfonic acid is condensed and cyclized with O-dichlorobenzene and 4-methylbenzene-1-sulfonyl chloride as described above (resulting in Sirius blue FFRL), and then formed into trisodium salt. The chemical structures of the two products are identical. starting from 3-amino-9-ethylcarbazole and tetrachlorobenzoquinone, the product is obtained by condensation, followed by ring closure with concentrated sulfuric acid and simultaneous sulfonation and neutralization. Filtration, drying and grinding to obtain the finished product. |
Use | Direct Fast Blue FFRL can be used for cotton, viscose fiber, silk and its blend fabric dyeing, generally not used for printing. The dyed cotton and viscose fibers were brilliant blue, with good levelness, moderate dye transfer and poor dye uptake. Light fastness is good, washing fastness is poor, and it is often used for fabrics with few times of washing. It can be dyed with disperse dyes in the same bath at high temperature, with slightly red color. |
