PFM01 has many uses. Secondly, it can also be used as a material for hydrogels, transparent colloids, drug delivery systems and biosensors.
There are two main methods for preparing pfm01. One is prepared by polymerization in solution of maltic acid and a polyether or polyurethane crosslinking agent. Another method is polymalt acid produced by microbial fermentation, such as a brewing liquor waste source.
