15658-60-3 - Introduction
Diethyl 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylate, also known as Diethyl enamel, is an organic compound. Its chemical formula is C10H14N2O4. The following is a description of the nature, use, formulation and safety information of diethyle2, 6-pyridinedicarboxylate:
Nature:
-Appearance: colorless transparent liquid
-Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, methanol and dichloromethane
-Melting Point: about 40-42 ℃
-ignition temperature: about 190 ℃
-Density: approx. 1.17g/cm³
Use:
- Diethyl 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylate is mainly used for the preparation of enamel coatings and ceramic materials.
-Enamel coating: As the main component of enamel coating, it has anti-corrosion, chemical resistance and high temperature resistance.
-Ceramic material: As an additive to ceramic materials, it can improve the cracking strength and wear resistance of ceramics.
Method:
diethyle2, 6-pyridinedicarboxylate can be obtained by reacting 2,6-pyridine dicarboxylic acid with glycolation. The specific steps are as follows:
1. In an appropriate reaction vessel, add 2,6-pyridine dicarboxylic acid and ethanol in a certain molar ratio.
2. Add an acid catalyst, such as sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid.
3. The acid esterification reaction is carried out at an appropriate temperature to produce diethyle2, 6-pyridinedicarboxylate.
4. After the reaction, separate and purify the product by distillation or other separation methods.
Safety Information:
-diethyle2, 6-pyridinedicarboxylate is irritating. Contact with skin and eyes should be avoided. If accidentally contacted, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
-Wear appropriate protective gloves, goggles and protective clothing during operation.
-should be in a well ventilated place to operate, avoid inhalation of its vapor.
-Avoid contact with oxidants and strong acids to avoid dangerous reactions.
-Store properly in an airtight container, away from fire and high temperature.
