Method:
- 5-chloro-2-nitroaniline can be prepared by introducing chlorine on the amino group of 2-nitroaniline. This can be achieved by reacting the 2-nitroaniline with brominated sulfoxide and sulfuric acid (or other appropriate reagent), and then treating the reaction mixture with chlorophosphoryl chloride and sodium chloride.
