Preparation
add 33g of sulfur, 96.5ml of 3-methoxyacetophenone (V) and 92ml of morpholine to a three-mouth bottle of 1000ml, and reflow reaction under mechanical stirring for 15 hours. Cooling to about 30 ℃, adding a mixed solution composed of 350ml glacial acetic acid, 105ml distilled water and 70ml concentrated sulfuric acid under mechanical stirring, and continuing to reflux for 5.5 hours. The reaction mixture is poured into ice water (400g of ice 100ml of water), mechanically stirred until yellowish-brown solids are precipitated (if necessary, crushed ice is added), and quickly cooled and filtered under the ice bath. Solids are dissolved in 300ml of 20% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, filtered, brown insoluble matter is added to 100ml of 20% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution, heated and refluxed for half an hour, and filtered while hot. The filtrates were combined and 10g of activated powdered activated carbon was added for decolorization for half an hour. Filtering. Add 15g RaneyNi as catalyst reflux stirring for 2 hours, remove the Ni after the reaction, and add 15g RaneyNi heating reflux for 2 hours. Filtration, the filtrate was acidified to PH1-2 with 2N hydrochloric acid under ice bath and mechanical stirring to obtain feathery white precipitate. Filtered and dried under ice bath for half an hour to obtain 58g of m-methoxyphenylacetic acid with a yield of 49.8% and a melting point of 68-71 ℃.
