1915-98-6 - Introduction
2-Hydroxy-9h-9-flavone (-9) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C13H8O2. It is a white crystalline solid with a special aromatic odor.
The main use of 2-hydroxy-9h-9-flavonone is as a fluorescent dye and fluorescent indicator. It is widely used in many fields, such as cell imaging and fluorescent enzyme dynamics in biomedical research, organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) and liquid crystal displays in optoelectronics.
There are two main ways to prepare 2-hydroxy-9h-9-flavonone. One method is to produce 2-hydroxy-9h-9-flavonone by reacting 9-naphthalenone with sulfuryl chloride through ketone sulfuric acid chlorination. Another method is to obtain the hydrate of 2-hydroxy-9h-9-flavonone by the reaction of naphthalene sulfate and distilled water, and then to obtain the target product after drying treatment.
For safety information, the toxicity of 2-hydroxy-9h-9-flavonone is of low toxicity. However, as a chemical, it can cause irritation to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract. Therefore, direct contact should be avoided during use and good ventilation conditions should be maintained. Also, follow proper laboratory procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as lab gloves, goggles, and lab coats. It needs to be kept in a dry, cool place, away from fire and oxidizing agents. If ingestion or contact causes discomfort or adverse reactions, seek medical help immediately.
