193693-68-4 - Introduction
Fmoc-Nip-OH is an organic compound with the following properties:
1. Appearance: white solid or crystalline powder.
2. Melting Point: about 130-135 ° C.
3. Solubility: soluble in organic solvents such as dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and dimethylformamide (DMF), insoluble in water.
Its main use is as a protecting group in organic chemical synthesis to protect the amine group. The Fmoc group can be deprotected (defmoc) to obtain the free amino group after the end of the reaction. In this case, Fmoc-Nip-OH are widely used in solid-phase synthesis and synthesis of aromatic compounds.
The Fmoc-Nip-OH is usually prepared by reacting Fmoc-photoamine with piperidine-3-carboxylic acid. This process can be carried out at ambient temperature and yields a high yield of the product.
Note the following safety information when using and handling Fmoc-Nip-OH:
1. It is an organic compound that may irritate the respiratory system, skin and eyes. Always wear protective equipment such as gloves, goggles and face shields when using.
2. Avoid inhaling aerosol or dust, avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, please rinse with plenty of water and seek medical help if necessary.
3. In organic synthesis experiments, follow the laboratory safety procedures.
