EPA chemical information | 2-Pyridineethanol (103-74-2) |
It is obtained by the addition reaction of 2-methylpyridine and formaldehyde. Formaldehyde and 2-methylpyridine are added into the reaction pot, nitrogen is introduced, stirred and heated to 125 ℃ at a pressure of about 0.4MPa, and after 20h of reaction, vacuum distillation is carried out to collect 130-145 ℃(2.13kPa) fractions to obtain 2-(2-hydroxyethyl) pyridine.
