Preparation Method:
2-(3-Methylphenoxy)propanohydrazide can be prepared by the following steps:
1.3-methyl phenol reacts with acetone under alkaline conditions to generate 3-methyl propiophenone.
2.3-methyl propiophenone reacts with hydrazine to give 2-(3-methyl phenoxy) acetone hydrazine.
3. Acylation of 2-(3-methylphenoxy) pyruvic hydrazine under acidic conditions gave 2-(3-methylphenoxy) propionyl hydrazide.
