2-(1,3-thiazol-4-yl)acetic acid, also known as 2-(1,3-thiazol-4-yl)acetic acid, is an organic compound. The following is a description of the properties, uses, preparation and safety information of this compound:
Nature:

Use:

Method:
Generally, 2-(1,3-thiazol-4-yl)acetic acid can be synthesized by the following steps:
1. First, acrylic acid and sodium hydrogen thiocyanate are reacted by heating to obtain 2-thiocyanoacetic acid.
2. Then, 2-thiocyanoacetic acid is reacted with chloroethanol under alkaline conditions to generate ethyl 4-chlorothioate.
3. Finally, by reacting the resulting ethyl 4-chlorothioate with sodium sulfide, 2-(1,3-thiazol-4-yl)acetic acid was obtained.
