Summary:
Keto musk is a restricted substance in cosmetics and has carcinogenic effect on human body. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze its content. Ultrasonic-assisted extraction was used to pretreat cosmetic samples of different matrix types. Determination of keto musk in cosmetics by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography. The chromatographic conditions are as follows: Kromasil C18(250mm × 4.6mm I. d.,5 μm) column, mobile phase V (acetonitrile): V (water) = 80: 20, flow rate 1.0 mL/min, detection wavelength 235nm. The results showed that under these conditions, keto musk had a good linear relationship with the corresponding peak area in the range of 0.5-150 μg/mL (correlation coefficient r was 0.9998), and the linear regression equation was A = 13500 & rho;-4829, recovery rate 90.5%-102.5%,RSD 0.45%-0.98%. Therefore, the established method for the determination of keto musk in cosmetics by reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography is accurate, reliable, and has wide applicability, which can provide a certain reference for the analysis of keto musk and the formulation of relevant national regulations.
