application | 2-bromobenzyl-N-succinimide carbonate is an organic intermediate, which can be prepared from 2-bromobenzyl alcohol and N,N'-disuccinimide carbonate in one step, and can be used in laboratory research and development process and chemical production process. |
preparation | n is added to the solution of 2-bromobenzyl alcohol (2.83g,15.0 mmol,1.0 equivalent) and DMAP(916 mg,7.5 mmol,0.5 equivalent) in MeCN/DCM 1:1(45 mL), n'-disuccinimide carbonate (3.84g,15.0 mmol,1.0 equivalents). The mixture was continuously stirred at room temperature for 18 hours. The mixture was washed with H2O(1 × 45mL), saturated NaHCO3, sodium chloride solution (1 × 45mL), dried with MgSO4, filtered and concentrated in vacuum. The residue was recrystallized from iPrOH to give 2-bromobenzyl-N-succinimidyl carbonate. |
