A common preparation method is synthesis through a substitution reaction. First, anisole (anisole) is reacted with tert-butylammonium bromide (t-butyl bromide) to form 4-tert-butylbenzylether. Next, 4-tert-butylbenzomethyl ether was reacted with aqueous ammonia to obtain 4-t-Butyl-2,6-diaminoanisole.
