Physical and Chemical Properties | Strongly alkaline, viscous liquid or crystal. Soluble in water and alcohol, insoluble in ether. In acidic solution on the thermal stability, easy to absorb carbon dioxide in the air, water absorption is very strong, heat decomposition. The taste was bitter. |
Use | Choline, or hydroxyethyl trimethylamine, is a quaternary amine base, colorless crystals or colorless bitter water-soluble white slurry, has a strong hygroscopicity, exposure to air can quickly absorb water. Choline readily reacts with acids to form more stable crystalline salts (e. G. Choline chloride), which are also unstable under strong alkaline conditions, but are relatively stable to heat and storage. As an organic strong base, can be completely ionized in water, metal content is low. Its chemical properties make choline widely used in chemical and semiconductor fields. |

Abstract:
The central cholinergic system is involved in the regulation of neuronal excitability, cortical plasticity and learning and memory processes in mammals, and is closely related to brain cognitive function. Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common cause of Alzheimer's disease, mainly manifested as progressive cognitive decline. Central cholinergic system dysfunction caused by basal forebrain cholinergic injury is the basis of cognitive dysfunction in AD patients. There is a vicious cycle in the course of AD, namely, the early damage of cholinergic neurotransmission in the brain, leading to the production of a large amount of Ap in the vulnerable area of neurodegenerative diseases and the hyperphosphorylation of tau protein, however, Aβ further weakens the effect of cholinergic neurotransmission, and central cholinergic dysfunction may be the root of cognitive dysfunction in AD patients.

Abstract:
using PCR method from E. The Choline dehydrogenase (CDH) gene (betA) was amplified from coliTG1 strain, and its amino acid coding sequence is consistent with the data in the literature, and can be correctly expressed in the prokaryotic expression vector pBV2 2 1, and showed activity. The plant expression framework pRbA of the gene was constructed, and the tomato was transformed by Agrobacterium-mediated leaf disc method. The PCR, Southern and RT PCR analysis of transgenic tomato confirmed that betA had been integrated into the tomato genome, the salt tolerance of transgenic tomato was higher than that of control tomato.
