2-Thioanisole Phenylborate, also known as methylthioo-boric acid benzene, chemical formula C7H9BO2S, is an organic boron compound.
Nature:
2-Thioanisole phenyl borate is a colorless crystal powder with unique Sulfanyl functional groups and benzene ring structure. It is stable at room temperature and soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and methanol.
Use:
2-Thioanisole phenol is commonly used as a reagent and reagent intermediate in organic synthesis, and has a wide range of applications:
1. It can be used for the synthesis of catalysts, especially for catalytic coupling reactions in organic synthesis reactions, such as Suzuki coupling, Stile coupling, etc.

Method:
The preparation of 2-Thioanisole Phenylborate is generally carried out by a boranation reaction. First, Phenylboronic acid is reacted with sodium formifide in acetonitrile to give 2-Thioanisole Phenylborate sodium salt. It is then reacted with an acid to remove the methylthio Group to produce 2-Thioanisole Phenylborate.
