2112738-14-2 - Introduction
DSPE-PEG-DBCO(DSPE-PEG-DBCO) is a kind of functional molecule widely used in biomedical field.
Nature:
DSPE-PEG-DBCO is a hydrophobic phospholipid molecule with a hydroxyl polyethylene glycol (PEG) group and a diphenylcyclooctyne (DBCO) group. It has good biocompatibility and can have a long circulating half-life in the organism through the solution stability provided by the PEG group.
Use:
DSPE-PEG-DBCO is often used in nano-drug delivery systems as a surface modification molecule. It can be covalently linked to drugs, proteins or nucleic acids with sulfhydryl groups (such as sulfide nanoparticles) by reaction with DBCO. This covalent attachment can stabilize the binding of the nanoparticle to the drug and enhance the stability, cellular uptake and biodistribution of the drug.
Preparation Method:
The preparation of DSPE-PEG-DBCO is usually obtained by reacting a phospholipid having a C18 alkynyl group (e. g., DSPE-DBCO) with a reagent such as EDC/NHS to undergo an amidation reaction with a hydroxy polyethylene glycol (e. g., PEG). The preparation process needs to be carried out under an inert atmosphere and requires appropriate solvent and solution conditions.
Safety Information:
The DSPE-PEG-DBCO has good biocompatibility and low toxicity under general use conditions. However, it is still necessary to pay attention to laboratory safety practices during use, and avoid contact with skin, eyes and inhalation. Detailed safety information and operating instructions can refer to the product instructions and safety data sheets provided by the relevant supplier.
