23911-80-0 - Introduction
(1,4-Butanediyl) BIS [Oxy (2-hydroxy-4,1-phenylene)] BIS [Phenyl Ketone], also known as BDP(1,4-bis[dihydroxy(2-hydroxy-4,1-phenyl)]dibenzophenone), is an organic compound.
Nature:
-Appearance: White crystal or crystalline powder.
-Melting point: About 285-290 ° C.
-insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents such as benzene and ethanol.
-has high stability, light resistance, heat resistance, good weather resistance.
Use:
- BDP is an important ultraviolet absorber and light stabilizer, commonly used in plastics, resins and coatings and other products, can effectively absorb ultraviolet rays, prevent oxidation, aging and deterioration of materials caused by ultraviolet radiation.
-In the preparation of some polymer materials (such as polycarbonate and Polyether ketone, etc.), BDP can be added to improve the stability and durability of the material.
Preparation Method:
The synthesis of BDP can be achieved by the substitution reaction of benzophenone. First, benzophenone and 2-hydroxy-4, 1-phenylene phenol are reacted to produce an intermediate product, 2-hydroxy-4, 1-phenylene benzophenone. Then, 1,4-butanediol is reacted with the intermediate product to finally obtain (1,4-butanediyl) BIS [Oxy (2-hydroxy-4, 1-phenylene)] bis [Phenyl Ketone].
Safety Information:
- BDP is generally safe under regular conditions of use. However, care should still be taken to avoid inhalation, contact with skin and eyes.
-In case of contact, flush the affected area immediately with plenty of water and seek medical help if necessary.
-During handling and storage, pay attention to fire prevention and static electricity generation.
-Comply with appropriate laboratory practices and personal protective measures.
