26074-53-3 - Introduction
BROMIDE (BROMIDE) is an organic compound with the chemical formula of C, H, and a molecular weight of 271.95g/mol.
Nature:
-Appearance: colorless liquid
-Melting Point: 25-26 ℃
-Boiling Point: 180-181 ℃
-Density: approx. 1.536g/cm³
-Solubility: Slightly soluble in water, soluble in organic solvents such as ether and alcohols.
Use:
The BROMIDE is often used as an important intermediate in organic synthesis. It is commonly used as an acylating reagent in acylation reactions and can be used in the synthesis of drugs, dyes and other organic compounds.
Method:
The preparation of BROMIDE can be carried out by the following steps:
1. Under appropriate conditions, bromine and 2-bromo -2-ethyl butyric acid react to generate 2-bromo -2-ethyl butyric acid bromide.
2. Add 2-bromo -2-ethyl butyric acid to sulfuryl chloride and a certain amount of base to react to obtain the final BROMIDE.
Safety Information:
. BROMIDE is a strong irritant and corrosive to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract. During operation, it is necessary to wear appropriate protective equipment (gloves, goggles, protective clothing) to avoid contact. Avoid inhaling its vapors and make sure to operate in a well-ventilated place. In case of contact or inhalation, rinse immediately with water and seek medical help.
