Method:

2. A trifluoromethane group is introduced into 2-methyl-6-sulfopyridine by a trifluoromethylation reaction to obtain 2-methyl-6-trifluoromethylpyridine.
3. Finally, the amino group was introduced into 2-Methyl-6-trifluoromethylpyridine by amination reaction under heating acid catalyst to give 2-Methyl-6-(trifluoromethyl)nicotinic acid.
