26903-85-5 - Introduction
2,2-dimethoxy-1,2-thiasilolane(2,2-dimethoxy-1,2-thiasilolane) is an organosilicon compound with the formula C6H14O2S-Si. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a special sulfur heterocyclic structure at room temperature.
2,2-dimethoxy-1,2-thiasilolane has a wide range of applications in organic synthesis and materials science. It can be used as a synthetic intermediate of organosilicon compounds and can be used to prepare compounds containing sulfur heterocyclic structures. In addition, it can also be used as a functional monomer of the polymer, which has the effect of improving the thermal stability and mechanical properties of the material.
The method for preparing 2,2-dimethoxy-1,2-thiasilolane includes a thioalkane reaction and a Silylation reaction. First, 2,2-dimethoxy cyclopentane (2,2-dimethoxy cyclopentane) is reacted with a sulfur chain compound such as ethyl thioacetate to give the corresponding thiofumarane. Thiofumarane is then reacted with chlorosilane to give 2,2-dimethoxy-1,2-thiasilolane.
Regarding safety information, 2,2-dimethoxy-1,2-thiasilolane has low toxicity, but it is still necessary to take appropriate laboratory safety measures during handling, such as wearing protective gloves, goggles and laboratory coats, ensure good ventilation. In addition, chemicals should be stored away from light and dry places, away from flammable materials. If necessary, refer to the Chemical Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for more detailed safety information.
