Use | 1-bromo-3-phenylpropane is an organic intermediate, obtained after bromination. It has been reported in the literature that it can be used to prepare alverine, a calcium channel modulator. |
preparation | dissolve phenylpropanol (137G, 1mol) in triethylamine (205G, 2mol) methylene chloride solvent 900mL, cooled to 0-5 ℃, slowly drop add methanesulfonyl chloride (1.5g, mol), drop, slowly rise to 25~30 ℃, stir react for 2-4H, monitor the reaction by TLC, concentrate the reaction solution to dryness to obtain the compound of Formula 3; Without separation, add proper amount of DMF to dissolve, add sodium bromide (255g,2.5mol), stir at 25~30 ℃ for 6~8H, monitor the reaction by TLC, filter, add water 800mL and ethyl acetate 1000mL, the organic layer was washed, dried and concentrated to obtain about 160g of 1-bromo-3-phenylpropane. |
