Introduction 3-brominated biphenyl is an important industrial raw material and an organic synthesis intermediate with a wide range of applications. It is widely used in pharmaceutical, liquid crystal industry and other fields. In recent years, the export volume of 3-brominated biphenyl in China is increasing day by day, and the main export targets are some LCD manufacturers in Japan and South Korea.
Uses
3-Bromobiphenyl is used as a reagent to synthesize benzenesulfonamide derivatives of 12-LOX inhibitors. 3-bromobiphenyl is also used as a reagent for the preparation of pyrrolidine derivatives of GlyT1 inhibitors.
There are many methods for synthesizing 3-brominated biphenyl. At present, the more mature and widely used method in industry is m-bromoaniline as raw material, which is diazotized with sodium sulfite in hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid at a low temperature of 0~5°C to generate m-bromophenyl diazonium salt, which is obtained by reacting with benzene.
Use organic synthesis intermediate, used as raw material for pesticide fungicide. It can be used as an industrial disinfectant.
