introduction | 3-bromo -2-chloropyridine is white to yellow-white powder. it has been reported in the literature that it can be prepared from 3-amino -2-chloropyridine by diazotization reaction or from 2-chloropyridine -3-carboxylic acid, 2, 3-dibromopyridine is prepared by one-step reaction. |
use | 3-bromo -2-chloropyridine is a pyridine organic substance and can be used as an organic intermediate. |
preparation | at room temperature, add water (45ml) and 48% hydrobromic acid (27ml) to 3-amino -2-chloropyridine (2.57g,20mmol). At room temperature, 2,2,6, 6-tetramethylpiperidine 1-oxyl (0.31g,2mmol) was added to the mixed solution, and the mixture was cooled to 10°C or lower. Then, sodium nitrite (4.14g) dissolved in water (30ml) was added to it. After stirring at room temperature for about 2 hours, 10mol/L aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (40ml) was added to it, followed by extraction with toluene (300ml) twice. Combine each toluene layer and wash with water (50ml). The solvent was distilled out by concentrating the toluene layer under reduced pressure to give 3-bromo-2-chloropyridine (7)(3.08g,80.1%). |
