physical and chemical properties and uses | hexahydrophthalic anhydride, also known as hexahydrophthalic anhydride, is a colorless transparent viscous liquid at room temperature. Molecular weight 154.17. Solidify to a white glassy solid at 35-36 °c. The relative density of 1.18~1.19. Boiling point 158 C (2.27kPa). Soluble in acetone, ethanol, ethyl acetate, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, benzene, toluene, slightly soluble in petroleum ether. Inhalation is toxic and strongly irritating to the eyes and skin. hexahydrophthalic anhydride can be used as a curing agent for epoxy resin. Low melting point, can be mixed with the resin at low temperature, the viscosity of the mixture is low, the service life is long (6 days), Fever of the curing is small. Mainly used for casting products. General dosage of 75~85 parts. Curing conditions: 100~200 ℃/3~1H. The cured product has excellent electrical properties and drug resistance, and the heat distortion temperature is 110~130. Hexahydrophthalic anhydride is also useful as a eutectic curing agent for chloro-and tetrahydrophthalic anhydride. |
Use | used as plasticizer, insect repellent, rust intermediate, resin modifier and curing agent of epoxy resin. used in coating, epoxy resin curing agent, polyester resin, adhesive, plasticizer, etc. |
production method | is obtained by hydrogenation of tetrachlorophthalic anhydride. |
