3328-60-7 - Introduction
5,6-dihydroyangonin (5,6-dihydroyangonin) is a natural compound, first isolated from drunk pepper (Kava, Botanical name: Piper methysticum). It is a colorless crystalline solid with special chemical structure and physical properties.
5,6-dihydroyangonin is widely studied and applied in medicine. It is considered to be one of the main active ingredients of Zui pepper, with sedative, anxiolytic, antidepressant, anticonvulsant and antiepileptic pharmacological effects. In addition, 5,6-dihydroyangonin has also been studied for the treatment of insomnia, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and increase cognitive ability.
5,6-dihydroyangonin is usually obtained by extraction, separation and purification from drunk pepper. First, the root part of the drunken pepper is peeled, chopped and soaked in water or other solvent. Then, the extract is subjected to several steps of separation, extraction and crystallization, and finally pure 5,6-dihydroyangonin is obtained.
Regarding safety information, 5,6-dihydroyangonin is generally considered to be relatively safe under appropriate use. However, long-term and excessive use may cause some side effects, such as liver damage, skin inflammation, dizziness and fatigue. In addition, it is recommended to avoid the use of 5,6-dihydroyangonin in certain groups such as pregnant women, lactating women, people with impaired liver function and alcohol abusers.
