367252-09-3 - Introduction
S-(1-oxo-2-pyridine)-mercapto-1, 3-dimethylpropylurea tetrafluoroborate (TPTDP) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C11H15BF4N3OS.
Properties of TPTDP:
1. Appearance: TPTDP is a colorless or slightly yellow solid.
2. Solubility: TPTDP is soluble in some organic solvents, such as methanol, ethanol, etc.
3. Stability: TPTDP is relatively stable and can be stored for a long time under dry conditions.
Purpose of TPTDP:
TPTDP is mainly used as an amine activator in the amination reaction in organic synthesis and the reaction of forming amine derivatives. It can promote the amination reaction and make the amination reaction more efficient and convenient.
Preparation of TPTDP:
TPTDP can be obtained by reacting 1-oxo-2-pyridylmercaptomethanol with 1,3-dimethyl-2-pyrrolidone. First, 1-oxo-2-pyridylmercaptomethanol is reacted with boron trichloride to form an intermediate that binds to boric acid. The intermediate is then reacted with 1,3-dimethyl-2-pyrrolidinone to form the final product TPTDP.
Security Information for TPTDP:
TPTDP is a relatively safe compound under normal conditions of use, but it still needs to be used with caution. Direct contact with TPTDP may cause irritation and allergic reactions. Avoid inhalation, ingestion, or skin contact. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as lab gloves and protective glasses. In case of accidental contact or poisoning, medical help should be sought promptly.
