4-(4-Aminophenyl)piperazine - Introduction
4-Piperazinoaniline(4-Piperazinoaniline) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C10H14N2.
Nature:
-Appearance: colorless or light yellow crystal
-Melting point: approx. 92-94°C
-Boiling point: about 273°C (decomposition)
-Solubility: It is almost insoluble in water, but soluble in some organic solvents such as ethers, alcohols and ketones.
-Chemical properties: It is a bifunctional compound, containing aniline and piperazine groups, and is alkaline.
Use:
4-Piperazinoaniline has a wide range of applications in the field of medicine, especially in the synthesis of antibiotics and other drugs. It can be used as a pharmaceutical intermediate for the synthesis of various drugs containing piperazine structures.
Preparation Method:
-A common synthesis method is synthesized by the condensation reaction of p-nitrobenzene and malonyl diimide (Piperazine-2,5-dione). First, under basic conditions, nitrobenzene and malonyldiimide react to form the intermediate 4-(2,5-dioxopentyl) benzenitramine, and under reducing conditions, the intermediate is further reduced to form 4-Piperazinoaniline.
Safety Information:
- 4-Piperazinoaniline can be considered hazardous under normal operating conditions and should be avoided by inhalation, swallowing or contact with skin and eyes.
-Wear protective gloves, safety glasses and protective clothing when using or handling the compound.
-should be operated in a well-ventilated place to avoid its vapor or dust inhalation.
-In case of accidental contact or poisoning, seek medical attention immediately and issue the relevant safety data sheet for reference.
