Application | 2-chloro-4-methylaniline is an organic intermediate, which can be obtained by reducing nitro. 2-Chloro-4-methylaniline can be used as a material for the preparation of organic electroluminescent elements. |
preparation | the substrate 3-chloro-4-nitrotoluene is dissolved in MeOH(HPLC grade, 0.1 M). Hydrogenation is carried out in the presence of 0.5 mol%SiliaCat Pd0 at room temperature. The resulting mixture was degassing twice, each time replacing the vacuum with H2. Attach the reaction mixture to a hydrogen balloon. The reaction mixture was stirred for 2 hours. The catalyst is recovered by filtration. Rinse with MeOH and dry under vacuum. The concentrated filtrate was analyzed by GC/MS to obtain the product. |
chemical properties | yellow or brown liquid. Soluble in ethanol or benzene, slightly soluble in hot water, insoluble in cold water. |
use | is mainly used for the synthesis of organic pigments, pesticides, medicines and other organic chemicals. |
