use | 4-bromo -3, 6-dichloropyridazine can be used as an intermediate in pharmaceutical synthesis. |
preparation | 4-bromo -3, 6-dichloropyridazine is prepared as follows: hydrazine sulfate (51g) is suspended in water (250ml), heated to reflux and bromomaleic anhydride (90.38g) is added dropwise. The mixture is heated and refluxed for 4 hours, and then cooled to room temperature. The reaction was repeated with 29g of hydrazine sulfate, 53g of bromomaleic anhydride and 130ml of water. The sediment was collected by filtration, washed with water and acetone, and combined and dried in a vacuum to give 4-bromo-3, 6-pyridazinedione, a white solid (113g). |
