After addition, the reaction was continued to stir for 15min. The reaction solution was then poured into ice water to decompose unreacted phosphorus oxychloride. The precipitated pale yellow solid was filtered off, washed with water and dried to give 4-chloro-3, 5-dinitrobenzaldehyde. |
