production method | sodium p-chlorobenzene sulfonate is obtained by chlorosulfonation and amination. In chlorobenzene sulfonic acid sodium salt was added in chlorosulfonic acid, at 40-42 deg C for 0.5h, at 60 deg C for 3h. It is then cooled to room temperature and added dropwise to ice water, filtered at 15 °c or below, and washed to a pH of 5.5-6 to give P-chlorobenzenesulfonyl chloride. This was added to ammonia water at 10 °c or lower. The reaction mixture was incubated at 40-42 °c for 2H, cooled, crystallized, filtered and washed to give P-chlorobenzene sulfonamide. The yield was 75%. |
