4-DECYNE - Introduction
4-Decyne(4-Decyne) is an alkyne compound with the molecular formula C10H18.
Nature:
1. Appearance: 4-Decyne is a colorless liquid.
2. Boiling Point: about 206-208 C.
3. Density: about 0.77 g/mL.
4. Solubility: Soluble in non-polar solvents, such as ether and benzene, insoluble in water.
Use:
1. 4-Decyne can be used as an intermediate in organic synthesis, especially in the construction of alkynyl-containing compounds.
2. It can also be used for research and experiments in the fields of polymer chemistry and materials science.
Method:
4-Decyne can be synthesized by the following steps:
1. Acetylene butyl magnesium solution (1-butyl methyl bromide reacts with magnesium bromide) reacts with N-Heptyne to generate acetylene butyl N-Heptyne.
2. Alkyne butyl N-Heptyne is obtained by accumulation reaction (such as halogenation reaction) to 4-Decene.
3. Finally, 4-Decyne can be obtained by dehydrogenation of 4-decene.
Safety Information:
1. 4-Decyne is irritating. Avoid direct contact with skin or eyes, and avoid inhaling its vapor or smoke.
2. In use and handling, should take appropriate protective measures, such as wearing protective gloves, goggles and respirators.
3. The operation should be carried out in a well-ventilated place to avoid its accumulation in a closed space.
4. Waste should be properly disposed of in accordance with local regulations and comply with relevant environmental protection regulations.
