40594-98-7 - Introduction
Ethyl 1H-1,2,3-triazole-5-carboxylate(Ethyl 1H-1,2,3-triazole-5-carboxylate) is an organic compound with the following properties:
Physical Properties:
Appearance: colorless liquid
Molecular formula: C6H7N3O2
Molecular weight: 153.14g/mol
Boiling point: 202-203°C
Density: 1.32 g/mL
Chemical Properties:
Ethyl 1H-1,2,3-triazole-5-carboxylate is an ester compound containing 1,2,3-triazole (triazole) and ethyl formate groups. It can be hydrolysed by acid or base catalysis to 1H-1,2,3-triazole-5-carboxylic acid (1H-1,2,3-triazole-5-carboxylic acid) and ethanol (ethanol).
It can also be used as an intermediate in many chemical reactions, such as as a starting material for drug synthesis and organic synthesis.
Preparation Method:
Ethyl 1H-1,2,3-triazole-5-carboxylate can be prepared by a variety of methods. One common method is to react acrolein (acrolein) with ethyl isocyanate to form an amino compound, which is subsequently dehydrated with an acid catalyst to form Ethyl 1H-1,2,3-triazole-5-carboxylate.
Safety Information:
Ethyl 1H-1, 2,3-triazole-5-boxylate has relatively limited safety information, but it is a chemical substance and should comply with appropriate safe handling and storage regulations. These specifications include the correct wearing of personal protective equipment (such as lab gloves and eye protection), avoiding contact with skin and eyes, and using in a well-ventilated area. In case of any discomfort or accident, stop use immediately and seek medical assistance. When in use, it should be stored separately from combustibles and oxidants, and strictly abide by relevant laws and regulations.
