In vitro study	In an in vitro kinase screening assay, MLR-1023 activated the Non-receptor-linked, Src-associated tyrosine kinase SYN. MLR-1023 increases the Vmax of yn kinase with an EC50 of 63 nM. Activation of this Lyn kinase is independent of the ATP binding site, suggesting that MLR-1023 regulates this kinase through an allosteric mechanism.
In vivo study	MLR-1023 the blood glucose lowering effect mediated is dependent on the activity of Lyn kinase. MLR-1023 is a compound that enhances the insulin receptor and produces a rapid and long-lasting blood glucose lowering effect in animal models of diabetes.
