Nature:
-Appearance: benzothiazol-2-yl 2,4-dinitrophenyl is sulphide a yellow crystal.
-Melting point: Its melting point is about 185-187°C.
-Solubility: benzothiazol-2-yl 2,4-dinitrophenyl sulphide is poorly soluble in water and soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, dichloromethane and acetonitrile.
Use:
-Function: benzothiazol-2-yl 2,4-dinitrophenyl sulphide is an important chemical reagent and intermediate, often used in organic synthesis reactions.
-Application: It can be used to prepare compounds containing benzothiazole structure, such as fungicides, dyes and fluorescent probes.
Preparation Method:
benzothiazol-2-yl 2,4-dinitrophenyl sulphide can be synthesized by the following steps:
1. Under alkaline conditions, 2,4-dinitrophenyl thiophenol reacts with alkyl halides to generate 2,4-dinitrophenyl sulfide.
2.2,4-dinitrophenyl sulfide was then reacted with sodium acetate under alkaline conditions to obtain the benzothiazol-2-yl 2,4-dinitrophenyl sulphide.
Safety Information:
benzothiazol-2-yl 2,4-dinitrophenyl sulphide is generally relatively safe under correct use and storage conditions, the following matters still need to be noted:
-May be irritating and sensitizing. Contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes should be avoided.
-Wear appropriate protective measures such as goggles and gloves when using.
-It should be used in a well-ventilated place to avoid inhaling dust or gas.
-Avoid contact with flammable substances and strong oxidants.
-Storage should be sealed to avoid high temperature and humidity.
Please note that benzothiazol-2-yl 2,4-dinitrophenyl sulphide is a chemical, contact and use should be avoided for people who do not have experience in chemical experiments. Standard operating procedures for chemical and laboratory safety should be followed when using this compound.
