use | for organic synthesis. |
Production method | First react catechol with phosphorus trichloride to make o-phenylene chloride, and then react with heptanol to obtain colorless oily phosphite. 50.9g(0.20mol) and 50.8g(0.20mol) iodine of the phosphite were added into 500ml dichloromethane and stirred at room temperature for 1h. The possible unreacted iodine was washed with the lotion of 10% sodium thiosulfate solution, and then washed with 5% NaOH solution, 5% NaHCO3 solution and saturated NaCl solution in turn to separate the organic phase. After the solvent was distilled, the fraction was collected at 96-104 ℃(5.33-6.4kPa) to obtain 39g iodoheptane with 86% yield. |
