DIISOPROPYL SULFITE(DIISOPROPYL SULFITE) is an organic compound with the chemical formula (CH3)2CHOCH2SO2. It is a colorless liquid with a strong odor of sulfate. The following are some of the properties and uses of DIISOPROPYL SULFITE:

Use:
DIISOPROPYL SULFITE have a variety of uses, including:

-As an additive in paints and coatings to improve their weather resistance and stability.
Preparation Method:
DIISOPROPYL SULFITE can be obtained by the reaction of DIISOPROPYL SULFITE acetate and sodium sulfite. The specific steps are as follows:
1. Mix DIISOPROPYL SULFITE acetate and sodium sulfite in a molar ratio of 2:1.
2. The mixture was stirred at room temperature and heated until the temperature of the reaction system reached 90-100 ° C., and reacted for 6 hours.
3. Cool the mixture to room temperature and extract the product with ether.
4. dehydrated with anhydrous calcium chloride, and purified the product by distillation.
