5-methoxybenzothiazole-2(3H)-thione - Introduction

It is an organic compound with the chemical formula C8H7NOS. It has a white to yellow crystalline solid, is soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols and ketones, and is sparingly soluble in water.

This compound is commonly used as a vulcanization accelerator for the vulcanization reaction during rubber processing. It can accelerate the crosslinking reaction between sulfur and rubber molecules, and improve the wear resistance and aging resistance of rubber.
