Abstract:
in order to improve the lubricity of medical polyurethane, the grafting polymerization of hydrophilic monomer sodium 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonate (NaAMPS) on the surface of medical polyurethane was initiated by UV grafting technique. The FTIR and SEM images of polyurethane before and after grafting and the effect of different concentration of hydrophilic monomer NaAMPS on the surface grafting rate of polyurethane were measured and analyzed, the changes of friction and friction coefficient of NaAMPS grafted polyurethane before grafting and with different concentrations of hydrophilic monomer in the presence or absence of lubricating medium water were investigated. The experimental results show that in the presence of lubricating medium water, when the concentration of hydrophilic monomer NaAMPS is high, the water lubrication coating is formed on the surface of the grafted polyurethane, which significantly improves the lubricity of the polyurethane surface.
