Overview | sodium behenate is useful as a pharmaceutical synthesis intermediate, such as the preparation of silver behenate. There are many preparation methods of behenic acid silver salt, generally using behenic acid alkali metal salt solution and aqueous solution containing silver ions chemical precipitation method, chemical precipitation method is generally divided into single injection precipitation method and double injection precipitation method. The first step in the preparation of silver behenate is to first convert behenic acid to a soap, such as sodium soap. Sodium soaps are surface-active substances, which contain polar groups and non-polar groups and are amphiphilic molecules with a sheet-like structure. |
