57903-15-8 - Introduction
2-(Methanesulfonyl) ethyl succinimidyl carbonate (MSC-ONSU) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C8H11NO8S and a molecular weight of 281.24g/mol.
Nature:
1. appearance: colorless or yellowish liquid.
2. melting point:-5 ~ -10°C
3. Boiling point: 140~150°C (760 mmHg)
Use:
MSC-ONSU is an active chemical based on carbonate, which is mainly used in organic synthesis reactions, such as esterification, acylation, and hydroxyacylation. It is widely used in the synthesis of new drugs, pesticides, dyes and functional materials.
Preparation Method:
The preparation of MSC-ONSU is generally carried out by the following steps:
1. reacting methanesulfonic acid with succinimide in the presence of sulfuryl chloride or brominated sulfoxide to generate methanesulfonimide acylate;
2. The methylsulfonyl imide acylate is reacted with dimethyl carbonate under alkaline conditions to generate MSC-ONSU.
Safety Information:
1. MSC-ONSU is a kind of organic matter, in the operation or storage should avoid exposure to fire or high temperature.
2. in the operation, need to take the necessary protective measures, such as wearing protective glasses, wearing protective gloves.
3. When in contact with skin or eyes should immediately rinse with water, and seek medical help.
4. during storage and transportation, ensure that the container is well sealed and away from fire and oxidant.
